It is proved as a historical fact that Sufis became the source of propagation of Islam in the Indian subcontinent. These were the people who brought people out of the darkness of disbelief into the light of Islam. Therefore, history will always remember their name in good terms. In this research, an attempt will be made to prove this aspect from Sufi literature. In particular, two prominent Sufis, Hazrat Moinuddin Chishti Ajmeri and Hazrat Baba Fariduddin Ganj Shakar, who belong to the Chishti school of thought, will be highlighted.
